PROFILE OF REV. ALDRIN NAVO
He was born in Manila, Philippines
in the year 1969 from Eugenio Navo Jr. and Amelia Navo and the eldest among four siblings. Aldrin studied elementary in Valenzuela
Christian School (VCS), Marulas, Valenzuela Phils. and attended high school in Manila Central University (MCU), Caloocan,
City, Phils. He attended University of the East (UE) in Manila and took Electronics Communication Engineering (BS E.C.E) but
only for two years then left for Canada in 1988.
It was
during high school that he came to know the Lord Jesus through the School Outreach Ministry of the JIL Church in MCU and became
an active JIL member since 1985. During this time, he became actively involved in the Youth Ministry in JIL Marulas, Valenzuela
and served as its President aside from other ministries such as the Ushering, Follow-Up and Music ministry. He was also assigned
as a Cell Leader in one of the bible study groups. In his college years, he became actively involved in the School Outreach
Ministry of JIL and later served as one of its Student Leaders in the University of the East.
It was 1988 that his family went to Canada as permanent residents living in Surrey, BC. After two years, the JIL
Church started in White Rock, BC, Canada and became its Church Pastor at the age of 21. He was also ordained in 1992 and served
as a Full-time Pastor ever since.
He married Simonet Cayanan
in May 1994, one of the volunteer workers in JIL Marulas. She joined him in Canada after one year and both of them are serving
as Full-time Pastors in the JIL Canada. They were blessed with two children Jathniel “Jappy” Navo and Alyssa Monique
Navo and the Navo family currently resides in Surrey, BC.
Presently,
he is serving as the Director for JIL North America, Europe and Australia Churches and concurrently serves as the Supervising
Pastor of JIL Canada Churches based in Vancouver. In addition, he is currently enrolled in Pacific Life Bible College taking
up Bachelor of Theology through Distance Education.
